My belief is that we are all able to live rich and full lives finding our true expression in what we do and the people with whom we relate. I have worked successfully developing the human capacity of individuals and groups to better understand themselves and their motivations thus improving their performance and quality of life. My contribution reaches across diverse people, organisations and cultures spanning many countries in the world.

Through my passionate expression I support people navigating significant life transitions enabling them to live fulfilling and enriched lives. The modalities I use include one-on-one, groups, workshops, articles, telephone and online courses.

With over 20 years of international business experience, largely as a corporate executive, I have designed, developed and delivered experiential personal leadership programs in the wilderness particularly for teenage boys, men, and men over 50 years entering their third age. My work includes one-on-on coaching and counselling, facilitating retreats, short courses, and presentations to communities and corporate clients.

Notable recent coverage includes interviews in an Australian National Counselling publication in 2009, and the men’s health section of the Australian Financial Review in 2010. I have appeared as a guest speaker and presenter on the radio, at conferences and events nationally and internationally on aspects of my deepest passion “unleashing our beauty, greatness, and wisdom.

I am a co-founder of Pathways Foundation, a non profit organisation responsible for leading the market with rites-of-passage programs for boys moving into manhood and girls moving into womanhood. With my co-founders, I was instrumental in designing the seminal program; “Pathways to Manhood” and pioneering the experiential “Pathways Leadership Development” program. Both programs are delivered in the Australian bush. It is the first time that any work of this kind has been scaled to cover most centres nationally.

Amongst the primary roles I held in the organisation, was Program Manager and Training Officer in over 60 camps. Key responsibility in my position was the in action growth and development of the program leaders, which included designing and implementing an empowering 360 degree evaluation system.

In the last few years I have sat with the council of “Elders” at the First Global Rites-of-Passage conference in Hawaii, and supported a number of other International rites-of-passage programs in the capacity of wise leader (Elder).

My Masters Degree in Cultural Psychology from the University of Western Sydney focussed on men’s issues including aspects of men in leadership roles.

I am a father of three children and grandfather of two small girls.

Testimonial

"I went to see Harley feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, with challenges in all areas of my life. Through a number of sessions, I came to feel focused, more certain and refreshed. Seeing him not only gave me fantastic support at a difficult time, but at last I feel like I am in the driver’s seat in my life and my business. Harley has a natural and intuitive approach, and seems to draw from a great depth of technique and experience in his work. I would recommend him unreservedly for this kind of work. Thanks for your amazing help and support during this time!"
