At Menstuff, we continue to be approached about how we can help women better connect with men. They often have a man, or men, in their lives, and are seeking a greater level of understanding, but more importantly a deeper level of connection with them. Sometimes the man in their life is stressed, depressed, not quite themselves, or acting out in ways that they don’t understand. As a woman, you may be looking for answers and ways to engage with him, but are worried you may push him further away.
The Menstuff Group for Women is designed to help single and partnered women to understand, and connect more deeply, to men.
- Do you want to improve your communication with men?
- Do you want a greater level of understanding of what makes men ‘tick’?
- Do you long for a deeper level of intimacy with the men in your life?
- Are you single and find it challenging to find a partner you can connect to?
- Are you going through a separation or divorce and want a better way to communicate with your ex?
- Do you feel that your relationship has lost it’s magic?
Maybe you can relate to some of the following about the men/men in your life:
- You are holding onto so many ‘unspoken’ things and have difficulty expressing them;
- You’re making an effort to meet someone new but you can’t seem to get past a certain point;
- You feel that your relationship is in a rut;
- You feel disconnected in your relationship;
- Your relationship is functioning on a practical level but something is missing;
- Your partner is acting in ways that you don’t understand;
- You have different views and you don’t know how to resolve them;
- You feel confused and insecure in your dealings with men;
- You worry that you might land up alone and lonely;
- There is a lack of intimacy and sex in your relationship.
If you can relate to some, or all, of these things, you are not alone. Menstuff’s Group for Women may be able to help.
Our Group for Women is an extremely powerful way to support women in transforming their lives.
Through sharing your stories and experiences, and learning new tips and techniques, women often provide each other with insights and new ways of looking at important or challenging aspects of their lives. The interactions with other people in the group, and with the facilitator, are central to this process.
A professionally facilitated Group for Women allows you to share your experiences in a safe and respectful environment.
How the Menstuff Group for Women works:
- A maximum of 8 women in the group, plus the facilitator;
- Groups are held on a weekly basis for 90 minutes each;
- Your initial commitment is for one month;
- The greater your participation, the more benefits you will receive;
- You are encouraged to give and receive feedback;
- If there is space you may join the group at the beginning of the month;
- For the remainder of each month the group is ‘closed’, which means no new women may join until the first session of the following month;
- The group works within a confidentiality framework – which will be discussed whenever someone new joins the group;
- And remember, you always get to choose your own level of participation. You don’t have to say or do anything that doesn’t feel right for you.
The group is facilitated by a trained professional (and yes, he’s a man). He is a powerful resource for participants seeking to deepen their understanding of, and connection with, men. The objective is to empower women to create happy and meaningful lives.
Through participation in the Menstuff Group for Women you can:
- Receive support around your relationship, you don’t have to do it all on your own;
- Explore what kind of relationship you’d like and take steps towards achieving this;
- Communicate more effectively with the men in your life;
- Have a greater awareness about your relationships;
- Have a greater confidence about connecting with men;
- Have ‘real’ conversations;
- Discuss and explore definitions of manhood and masculinity;
- Understand how to connect from your feminine side.
